Please answer the questions below to ascertain whether your project meets the Rotary Peace, Remembrance and Community Forest Trust criteria.
Is the area to be planted larger than 1 Hectare?
Will the public be able to access the land/area to be planted? [planting can be on private land but it must be able to be accessed by the public to allow for volunteer engagement on an on-going basis]
Will the landowner commit to protecting the planting for a minimum of ten years - whether by covenant or by contract with the Trust?
Will you be planting eco-sourced native trees?
Will you be planting a minimum of 750 stems per hectare, with at least 300 of these being trees that will grow to 5m or more?
Do you have existing strong project support [in-kind] and /or funding that you are confident can comprise at least 60% of the total project costs?
If you have answered YES to all the above, then your project meets key funding criteria and you may download the funding application templates. If you are uncertain about meeting some of the above criteria, you are welcome to contact Dave Sharp, the Programme Manager: email@example.com to clarify your projects suitability.
