Atiu Creek Regional Park

Atiu Creek Regional Park is another project supported by the Rotary Trust this year -with funding to plant 25,000 trees grown at the on-site nursery. Ātiu Creek Regional Park is located on the elevated Okahukura (Taporapora) peninsula and fronting the Oruawharo River and the north eastern reaches of the Kaipara Harbour.

More than a third of the park is covered by mature and regenerating native forest. and the restoration project will over time plant much of the 340 ha of pasture.
