Rotary TreesA milestone event for Wellington Rotary
Saturday September 18 marked the planting of Wellington Rotary’s 100,000th tree, a totara, in front of the Ellice Street quarry, Mt Victoria. (No auditors can contest whether this really was 100,000!)
Photo below of the mayor, Andy Foster, Richard Norman and Geoff Shaw with the totara and above, the approximately 60 volunteers who planted 800 trees within about two hours.
